The N Ireland government are consulting on an updated Noise Action Plan for industry, setting out how the Department of Agriculture, the Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) will deliver its obligations under NI Environmental Noise Regulations 2006. The action plan analyses the results of noise mapping for the Belfast agglomeration, to identify the numbers of people affected by the highest levels of industrial noise. It is propsed to target the 1% affected by highest noise levels for further investigation. The consultation is open until August 28th.
