Acoustics Lead

The Company

ANV Measurement Systems are the sole UK Distributors for Rion and Norsonic Sound and Vibra on instrumenta on. The company also operates industry-leading sound and vibra on hire services, the LivEnviro live-to-web noise, vibra on, dust and weather monitoring system and an UKAS-accredited laboratory (0653).

The Role

The Company, based in Milton Keynes, is looking for an Acoustics Lead to maintain and develop the company’s:

• products, systems and services in line with the requirements of the acoustics industry;
• knowledge of current acoustics industry practice;
• relationship with the acoustics industry, including the IOA, ANC and clients; and
• reputation for excellent technical support.

The Type of Person We are Looking For

The successful candidate is likely to:

• have a degree in acoustics or a related field;
• be (or to be working towards being) a Member of the Institute of Acousics; and
• have significant experience and current knowledge of environmental and/or building acoustics.

What you Will be Doing

The interesting and varied duties of the Acoustics Lead are to:

• develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the ANV product range;
• lead the company’s technical support for customers;
• lead the company’s development, maintenance and delivery of LivEnviro;
• communicate with the company’s main suppliers regarding technical matters;
• represent the company at IOA and other technical meetings;
• provide technical training for colleagues;
• provide support to the sales team – especially for more complex projects; and
• assist with marketing ac vi es e.g. social media, upda ng the company websites & advertising.

There is some scope for remote working but some of the work will require attendance at the Company’s Milton Keynes office. Occasional travel will be required throughout the UK to meet customers and attend events. There are likely to be some opportunities for international travel.
