MEETINGS - MEMBER PAGE

The Meetings Committee is a Subcommittee of the Council formed under Article 47 of the Articles of Association of the Institute to act as the meetings strategy committee of the Institute.

The Meetings Committee will liaise with the Institute's Specialist Groups and Regional Branches as well as others to produce a co-ordinated programme of meetings that are technically balanced and integrated with the Institute's fiscal plan.

Our aim is:

To facilitate the provision of a technically or scientifically broad and financially viable programme of meetings and conferences to the membership.

Attached below is a document for meeting organisers.

Equipment for virtual meetings and recording of meetings

Two separate committees (Publications and Meetings Committees) have researched, purchased and produced guidance for the use of two mutually exclusive sets of equipment, with a view to enabling greater access to branch meetings by the IOA membership.  The attached document contains a basic description of the purpose and capability of the two different sets of equipment to help members choose the most appropriate for their requirements.

Planning Meetings

Information and assistance in running meetings can be provided by the IOA office, and/or members of the meetings committee.

Attachments below include the latest meeting organisers guidance as well as a supplemental guidance document regarding budget allocation and usage for Branches.

Proposals for meetings should be sent to sheema.ali@ioa.org.uk, and where appropriate will be discussed by the Meetings Committee.
